This short video given by Rev. Dr. LoraKim Joyner, founder of One Earth Conservation, tells how her work as a wildlife veterinarian in war torn and violent ridden Central America, a Certified Trainer in Nonviolent Communication and a Unitarian Universalist provides the experience, skills, and motivation to develop the Nurture Nature Program.

She seeks to nurture human nature so that all of nature can be cherished and protected.

In this video you will get an overview of her parrot conservation work in Latin America as well as the five natural intelligences that form the basis of the Nurture Nature Program.

LoraKim Joyner

Rev. Dr. LoraKim Joyner is a wildlife veterinarian, Unitarian Universalist minister, and NonViolent Communication certified trainer. She combines these experiences along with over 30 years as a conservationist and wildlife veterinarian to lead One Earth Conservation’s teams that empower the people saving the planet.Together they have developed the Nurture Nature Program that is founded on LoraKim’s conviction that every being has inherent worth and dignity.She travels extensively supporting individuals, groups, and organizations to build communities of resilience, resistance, and solidarity. Her work in Latin America portrays her deep commitment to all within the biotic community, especially those whose voices are silenced. With them, she bears witness to the beauty and plight of the parrots and people there, celebrating what they can do together. One Earth's projects occur in Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, and Guyana. LoraKim Joyner is an Adjunct Professor at Meadville Lombard Theological School.
